Nylon 66 Sheet is also very easy to machine with either manual machines or with the modern high speed CNC machines.

Nylon 66 Sheet Sizes
Nylon 66 Sheet is available in thicknesses ranging from 5mm thick upto around 100mm thick and the overall sheet sizes are normally either 2000 x 1000 or 3000 x 500, these are the manufacturers sizes and as one of the main engineering plastic distributors, we offer them in many alternative sizes to suit your needs.

Nylon 66 Sheet - Food Contact
Our manufacturers advise that the natural grade Nylon 66 Sheet is compatible with food contact, although the black grade which contains MOS² would not be suitable as the additive may cause a leaching effect which may transfer.

Nylon 66 Sheet - Sizes
Nylon 66 Sheet is produced in widths of 500mm and overall lengths of 3000mm although the thicker sizes are produced at 1000mm due to handling issues. The thickness of Nylon 66 plate in natural grade ranges from 5mm up to 100mm with an excellent spread of sizes in the range, the Black Nylon 66 plate range starts at 6mm and finishes at 50mm, the black MOS² filled grade has a slightly lower quantity of individual thicknesses in its range also.

Nylon 66 Sheet - Applications
Nylon 66 Sheet is ideal for manufacturing wear block and wear strips. Nylon 66 Sheet is very hard wearing and long lasting which means that most wear blocks will last for a very long time and would also be classed as a low maintenence material. Natural grade Nylon 66 Sheet would provide components that are free running, long lasting and cleaner due to Nylon 66 Sheet requiring little or no lubrication during service.
